Cookies and Browser Storage

Our authentication provider stores your session in your browser so that you stay signed in between visits and so that account and session security can be maintained. This storage is essential: without it you cannot sign in or use an account.

Cliro stores learner state in your browser, keyed to your account, to support onboarding, study continuity and normal application behaviour. This includes things such as your onboarding selections and the state needed to resume a session smoothly.

Clearing your browser storage removes this local copy. Study data saved to your account is not affected.

We store the following preference values:

• cliro.theme, which records whether you chose the light or dark theme

You can change this at any time using the theme control in the app, which overwrites the stored value. Clearing your browser storage resets it to the default.

When you open payment or checkout functionality, Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies, including for payment security and fraud prevention. These are used by Stripe as part of processing your payment.

Cliro does not currently run a production advertising or behavioural tracking analytics service. There is no tag manager, advertising pixel or third-party behavioural analytics SDK installed on the site.

If we introduce technologies that require consent in future, we will update this notice and introduce an appropriate choice mechanism before using them where required.

You can clear cookies and site data at any time through your browser settings. Clearing authentication storage signs you out.
